For over thousands of years, the science and philosophy of yoga has been in practice for overall welfare of humanity. The following argument more specifically seek to clarify the doubts in the minds of people regarding the efficacy of yoga in family welfare. There are a large number of Asanas and Pranayama which are specifically directed for practice in family welfare. To cater to the health needs of the reproductive system. It is in fact the only system of therapeutics that is most effective given the limitation of the research output of modern medicine. There is no known drug scientifically tested and proven to cure sexual importance of the other way sound to control increased sexual desire. Yoga has a number of very simple asanas to permanently cure both the problems. It goes without going into any further details that the practice of some simple yogic exercises rules out requirement of western contraceptives and any man in complete control of his sexual potency will also have causing unwanted pregnancies. Some of the asanas cure wet diseases and other seminal disorders. Seminal incontinences and sexual hyper-excitability are also relived. They have been so useful for diseases of the urethral system. The Chitrakhya Nadi of Viryavaha nadi (the carrier of system) is directly affected. On account of which the circulation in the genital organ improves. These asanas make it possible to practice uninterrupted celibacy, and cures seminal disorder and many ailments of the anus and genitalia.A very well-known asana called Garg asana is specifically meant for the female reproductive tract and is strongly recommended for women having problems related to their reproductive system.
A young girl around age of thirteen of fourteen years of age practicing yoga will be free menstrual complaints and further one has a very easy time during her prenatal and post natal periods. The obstetricians will marvel at the same with which she carries herself witch during her pregnancy and child-birth requiring little or no anti partum care. Subsequently. Her regular and disease-free menstrual cycles will regularly indicate to her as to which are safe periods for sexual intercourse and thereby prevent conception.
In other words, Yoga is not only a therapy on the accepted sense of term. But also, a way of life. It is a comprehensive system of a better living. It is a total education of the whole personality.
The ultimate aim and goal of family welfare is the attainment of optimum physical and mental well being of the family. Similarly, the ultimate aim and goal of the yogic practice is also the same viz. the attainment of the mental as well as physical well being of the individual. By introducing yoga in family welfare schemes the country will be able to save corers of rupees which are now spent on health care of the masses.
